Mexican Chocolate Recipe
- 3 ounce. unsweetened chocolate
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 tbsp. instant coffee
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 4 c. lowfat milk
- Whipped cream
- In large saucepan, heat chocolate, sugar, coffee, spices, salt and water over low heat, stirring till mix is smooth.
- Heat to boiling; reduce heat and simmer 4 min, stirring constantly.
- Stir in lowfat milk; heat.
- Beat with rotary beater till foamy.
- Top with whipped cream.
- 8 servings (about 2/3 c. each).
