Chocolate 20 Minute Cake (Sheet Cake)

• 2 cups sugar
• 2 cups flour, all-purpose
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
• 1/4 cup cocoa powder
• 1 cup water
• 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 large eggs
• 1/2 cup butter
• 1/4 cup cocoa powder
• 6 tablespoons milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1 pound powdered sugar

1. Sift sugar, flour and salt together.
2. Mix in sauce pan butter, shortening, cocoa and water.
3. Bring to a boil over high heat.
4. Pour into sifted mixture, stir and add buttermilk, vanilla, eggs and soda.
5. Bake at 400 deg 25 to 30 minutes.
6. CHOCOLATE ICING Mix in sauce pan butter, milk, cocoa and vanilla and bring to a boil.
7. Add powdered sugar, and ice while cake is hot.
