Banana Split Cake
- 2 1/4 c. graham cracker crumbs
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 3 sticks margarine or butter
- 2 eggs
- 4 large or 5 medium bananas
- 12 oz. Cool Whip
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 20 oz. can cherry pie filling
- 3/4 c. chopped pecans
- 1/2 c. maraschino cherries
- 1 small can crushed pineapple
- Melt 1 1/4 sticks of butter or margarine and mix with cracker crumbs.
- Spread and press in a 9 x 13 x 2-inch pan.
- Beat on high speed 1 3/4 sticks of butter or margarine, powdered sugar, vanilla and eggs until thick and creamy like pudding.
- Spread evenly on crumb crust.
- Slice bananas and lay on this mixture.
- Spread pie filling over bananas.
- Drain pineapple well and spread evenly over pie filling.
- Top with Cool Whip.
- Sprinkle nuts and chopped maraschino cherries on top.
- Chill several hours before serving.
