Barley Pilaf With Peas Recipe
- 3 c. Water
- 3 x Chicken Bouillon Cube vegetarian
- 1 c. Barley
- 10 ounce Peas Frzn
- 1/2 c. Onion minced
- 1 x Clove Garlic chopped
- 1/4 c. Water
- 2 Tbsp. Soy Sauce, Low Sodium optional
- In a med.
- saucepan, bring 3 C water and bouillon cubes to a boil; stir in barley.
- Reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 - 12 minutes, stirring occas.
- Drain and set aside.
- In a lg skillet, saute/fry peas, onion and garlic in 1/4 C water for 5 minutes; reduce heat.
- Stir in barley and soy sauce.
- Cover and continue cooking till heated through, stirring occas.
- NOTES : PREP TIME: 10 minutes
- Cooking Time: 25 - 30 minutes
