Flap Jacks
- 400 g porridge oats
- 400 g butter or 400 g margarine
- 400 g brown sugar
- 150 g golden syrup
- 100 g cocoa powder (optional)
- Turn the oven on to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Measure out the ingredients.
- Put the butter, brown sugar and syrup into a saucepan and cook on medium heat until ingredients have melted.
- Take off the heat, add the oats and stir in until covered in the mixture.
- Place in the greased baking tin and bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
- Cut into squares and place on a cooling rack.
