Ala Stuffing (Cracked Wheat Bulgur) Recipe
- 1/4 c. butter or possibly margarine
- 1 c. celery minced
- 1 med onion minced
- 2 c. cracked wheat bulgur uncooked
- 2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp sage
- 1/2 tsp marjoram
- 1 c. chicken bouillon
- 4 c. cool water
- Heat butter in large skillet; add in vegetables and Ala. Stir constantly till vegetables are tender and Ala is golden brown.
- Add in seasonings, bouillon and water; cover and bring to boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer 15 min.
- Stuff poultry or possibly chops just before cooking.
- Allow 2/3 c. stuffing per lb.
