Bean Barley Soup Recipe
- 1 ham hock
- 1 lg. onion, minced or possibly sliced
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 c. red beans, washed
- 1 c. barley
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Cook beans according to directions.
- When half way cooked, add in the ham hock, onions, garlic, barley and cook till soft (beans and barley).
- Add in more boiling water, if too thick.
- Make it soupy as it will thicken.
- Can be frzn in cartons.
