Homemade Orange/Grapefruit Jam

  1. If you want to have thin orange zest you have to soak zest from one orange 5 days changing water every 12 hours.
  2. After 5 days, cut the zest into thin slices.
  3. Squeeze out juice from orange and grapefruit.
  4. It should be aboput 2 liters of juice.
  5. Put orange zest, sugar and juice into pot and start to cook.
  6. After boils, cook on moderate fire about 15 minutes.
  7. In the meantime put glass-bottles into oven on 100C
  8. After 15 minutes, add pectin in amount necessary for making jelly.
  9. Stir well 1-2 minutes making sure all pectin is dissolved.
  10. Than start to fill in the glass- bottles.
  11. Leave 1 inch space between jam and cover.
  12. Leave to cool it slowly.
