Chicken Batik Recipe

• 1 lg. chicken
• 1 onion
• 1 carrot
• 1 stick celery
• 1 bouquet garni: parsley, thyme, bay leaf
• 6 black peppercorns
• Salt to taste

1. A friend's mother put this recipe together when we were involved in doing some batik for a school art project one weekend.
2. It has continued to be a hard favorite with both our families.
