Apple Raisin Scones Quaker Oat Bran Cookbook Recipe

  1. Heat oven to 400F.
  2. Lightly spray a cookie sheet with vegetable veg.
  3. oil spray or possibly oil lightly.
  4. Combine flour, sugar, baking pwdr and cinnamon; cut in margarine till mix resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Stir in oat bran, apples and raisins.
  6. Add in combined water and egg whites, mixing just till moistened.
  7. Shape dough to create a ball.
  8. Turn out onto lightly floured surface; knead gently 6 times.
  9. Pat into 9 inch circle on prepared cookie sheet.
  10. Score dough into 8 wedges; don't separate.
  11. Bake 18 to 20 min or possibly till light golden.
  12. Break apart; serve hot with jelly.
  13. Makes 8 scones.
