Maggiemays Nearly Famous Cheesy Roll-ups

  1. Some notes:
  2. I am not usually picky about brands but since there are so few ingredients in this recipe I have found that you need to stick to the brand names.
  3. You CAN NOT substitute light or non-fat for any of the ingredients.
  4. The texture and taste end up wrong.
  5. Its one of those dont worry, just enjoy it recipes.
  6. This mixture is enough to fill 5 of the burrito size flour tortillas (the big ones).
  7. If you double the recipe its enough for the whole pack.
  8. Instructions:
  9. Let the cream cheese soften (either at room temperature or zap it for a few seconds in the microwave).
  10. Mush it up but good.
  11. Add the mayo, green chillies and dressing mix.
  12. Stir to mix.
  13. Add the shredded cheese stir some more.
  14. Take one of the tortillas.
  15. You want to take a good size blob to spread on the tortilla.
  16. If you have one of the big tortillas a 1/3 cup measurement is about right per tortilla.
  17. You want enough so that you have a nice layer.
  18. Spread the mixture on almost the whole tortilla.
  19. You want to leave a little edge at the top as it makes it easier to roll.
  20. Roll it up.
  21. Make the rest of the tortilla wraps.
  22. Put these on a plate and cover with plastic wrap (or do what I do).
  23. They fit perfectly in the big rectangular Gladware container.
  24. Keep in the fridge overnight.
  25. This must be done because they will be too soft to cut immediately and the flavour is better if they sit until the next day.
  26. Cut each roll up into 10 or so rounds.
  27. There you have it.
  28. Maggiemays Nearly Famous Cheesy Roll-ups!
  29. Take them to a potluck and watch them swoon.
