M. A. Blaney's Bean Soup Recipe

  1. Rinse and pick through dry beans.
  2. Put beans, ham bone, ham and carrots in a large pot.
  3. Cover with water and cook for about 3 hrs.
  4. (Check water level during cooking - Edit.)
  5. Remove ham bone and check beans.
  6. When beans are almost done add in potatoes.
  7. Continue cooking till potatoes are tender.
  8. Break up potatoes with a long handled fork to thicken up the soup then munge (eat!
  9. ).
