Saucy Slow Cooker Meatballs
- 1 cup grape juice
- 1 cup apple jelly
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 4 lbs frozen italian style meatballs
- In a medium sauce pan, combine juice, jelly, ketchup, and tomato sauce.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until jelly as melted.
- Remove sauce from heat.
- Place meatballs in a 5-qt slow cooker.
- Pour sauce over meatballs and stir to coat.
- Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or until heated through.
- * note- I like to put half of the meatballs in, cover with sauce and stir.
- Then add the other half, cover with remaining sauce and stir to coat.
- It allows the sauce to be more evenly distributed over all the meatballs.
- * These can be served buffet style, or over rice with a warm, buttery roll.
