Bread Pudding With Raisins Recipe
- 3 slices day-old bread, cubed
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 2 c. skim lowfat milk
- 2 Large eggs, slightly beaten
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix bread cubes and raisins in 1 1/2-qt baking dish.
- Combine remaining ingredients.
- Pour over bread and raisins; stir.
- Set dish in shallow pan on oven rack.
- Pour warm water in pan to depth of 1 inch.
- Bake 45-55 min or possibly till knife inserted in pudding comes out clean.
- 1/2 c. serving = 1/2 bread, 1/2 lowfat milk, 1/2 fat, 1 fruit
