Buffalo Chicken Wings With Blue Cheese Dipping Sauce Recipe
- 6 Tbsp. butter or possibly margarine
- 1/4 c. warm pepper sauce vegetable oil for frying
- 18 x chicken wings disjointed, tips discarded
- 1/4 lb blue or possibly Roquefort cheese
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1/2 c. lowfat sour cream
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. wine vinegar
- Warm pepper sauce to taste
- Prep: 10 min Cook: 35 min Serves: 36 mini-drumsticks These spicy warm wings w/ cold, creamy dip are all the rage.
- Serve with plenty of ice-cool beer.
- Heat butter in a small saucepan.
- Add in warm sauce & remove from the heat.
- In large frying pan or possibly deep-fat fryer, heat 1" of oil to 375x.
- Fry wings in batches w/o crowding till golden, 12 1/2 min.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Brush wings w/ spicy butter & serve hot w/ Blue Cheese dipping sauce.
- BLUE CHEESE DIPPING SAUCE In small bowl, mash the blue cheese, leaving some small lumps.
- Whisk in the mayonnaise till blended.
- Add in the remaining ingredients & whisk to blend well.
- Cover & chill till serving time.
