Weisswurst With Cider, Apples, And Onions Recipe

  1. Prick sausage with a fork.
  2. Saute/fry in butter till browned, about 8 min.
  3. Remove to paper toweling to drain.
  4. Add in bacon to skillet.
  5. Cook till fat is melted and bacon is beginning to brown.
  6. Saute/fry onions in fat till tender, about 6 min.
  7. Add in garlic and herbs; saute/fry 2 min more.
  8. Add in wine; bring to boiling, stirring to scrape up brown bits from skillet.
  9. Cook 3 min till sauce is reduced to half its volume.
  10. Stir in cider; return sausages.
  11. Makes 4 servings.
