Easy High School Cafeteria Coleslaw
- 1 head (small) cabbage, cored and sliced fine
- 1 tbsp salt
- 2 tsp celery salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup white vinegar
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- Quarter and core the cabbage, slice/shred finely.
- Add to a large bowl..
- Add the salt, celery salt, pepper, and sugar and massage the mixture with your hands, vigorously, into the cabbage..
- Add the vinegar and oil and mix well.
- Let marinate for at least two to four hours in the fridge.
- Overnight is best.
