Easy & Low Cal Chewy Taro Root Gratin
- 400 grams Taro root
- 2 to 3 slices Bacon
- 20 grams Butter
- 200 ml Milk
- 1 Consomme stock cube
- 1 Easy melting cheese
- Place the taro root in a heat-resistant bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
- Microwave until soft enough to stick a toothpick through easily.
- Once they have cooled, peel the skin and mash with a fork.
- Melt butter in a frying pan and cook the thinly sliced bacon.
- Add the taro from Step 2 and quickly cook while mixing with the bacon.
- Add the ingredients and simmer until it thickens.
- Once it has become this thick, it's done!
- Divide into portions and arrange on plates.
- Top with lots of cheese and bake in the toaster oven until the cheese has become nicely browned.
