Pasta E Piselli (Macaroni and Peas)
- 1 (15 ounce) can peas, with liquid (I use Libby's)
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 14 teaspoon garlic powder (NOT salt!)
- 14 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 8 -12 ounces ditalini (you could also use elbows)
- Saute onion in oil until transparent.
- Add peas, liquid and seasonings and simmer for 5 minute.
- Meanwhile, cook pasta in 4 qts salted water until al dente and drain.
- Add pasta to pea mixture and mix well.
- Sprinkle with some grated Parmesian if desired.
- ENJOY!
