Red Lentil and Hazelnut Balls
- 100 ml dried red lentils
- 1 egg
- 3 -4 tablespoons ground hazelnuts, plus extra for rolling the balls in later
- 2 -3 tablespoons chopped parsley
- 12 an onion, chopped (about 50ml)
- salt, pepper, garlic to taste
- neutral oil (for frying)
- Boil the lentils in salted water to desired mushyness.
- Blend with the rest of the ingredients in a food processor or by hand in a bowl.
- Form balls or patties, roll them in some extra ground hazelnuts, and fry or deep-fry them in oil until theyre golden brown.
