Pretzel-Strawberry Squares
- 2 cups finely crushed pretzels
- 12 cup sugar, divided
- 23 cup butter, melted
- 12 ounces cream cheese, room temp
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 cup Cool Whip
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 (8 ounce) packagejello strawberry gelatin
- 1 12 cups cold water
- 1 quart strawberry, sliced
- Preheat oven 350.
- Mix pretzels, 1/4 cup sugar and the melted butter.
- Press firmly onto bottom of 13x9 pan.
- Bake 10 minute COOL.
- Beat cream cheese, remaining 1/4 cup sugar and milk until well blended.
- Gently stir in cool whip.
- Spread over crust.
- Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Meanwhile, stir boiling water into dry gelatin mix in large bowl at least 2 minute until completely dissolved.
- Stir in cold water.
- Refrigerate 1 1/2 hours or until thickened (spoon drawn through leaves definite impression).
- Stir in strawberries.
- Spoon over cream cheese layer.
- Refrigerate 3 hours or until firm.
- Cut into 20 squares.
- Store left overs in frig.
