Chili Chip Casserole

  1. Brown ground beef until crumbly.
  2. Add onion, chili seasoning mix, tomato paste and water.
  3. Combine thoroughly.
  4. Simmer about 10 minutes.
  5. Place 1/2 bag (about 2 cups) corn chips in bottom of 2-quart casserole.
  6. Spoon 1/2 chili meat mixture over corn chips. Place 1/2 can pinto beans over meat mixture, then place 1 can olives over beans.
  7. Sprinkle with 1 cup grated cheese.
  8. Repeat the meat, pinto beans and olive layers.
  9. Arrange remaining corn chips over top and sprinkle with remaining cup grated cheese. Cover and bake in a 350u0b0 oven for 30 minutes.
  10. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes.
  11. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
