Lasagna With a Mexican Flair
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
- 2 teaspoons oregano
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 34 teaspoon garlic salt
- 12 lasagna noodles, uncooked
- 2 12 cups water
- 2 12 cups picante sauce or 2 12 cups salsa
- 2 cups sour cream
- 34 cup green onion
- 1 (2 1/4 ounce) cansliced black olives
- 1 cup monterey jack cheese, grated
- Combine uncooked beef with beans, oregano, cumin and garlic in a large bowl.
- Place a layer of noodles in the bottom of a 9x13 pan.
- Spread 1/2 of beef mixture over noodles.
- Repeat and top with a layer of noodles.
- Combine water adn picante sauce and pour over all.
- Cover tightly and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
- Combine sour cream, onions and olives.
- Spoon over noodles and top with cheese.
- Bake uncovered until cheese melts.
- Let set for 5 minutes before serving.
