Easy Yummy Chili
- 1 lb ground beef - 80/20 or leaner
- 1/2 white onion - chopped
- 2 clove garlic - minced
- 2 can 28 oz crushed tomatoes
- 1 can red kidney beans
- 1 can chili beans in sauce
- 2 tbsp chili powder - more or less to taste
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1 salt to taste
- 1 optional - ground cayenne or hot chili sauce for spice
- Brown ground beef with onions and garlic in large pot.
- Do not drain fat; this is why I use 80/20 or leaner.
- Add all other ingredients and only drain the kidney beans.
- If you are adding cayenne or chili sauce add in very small amounts and taste so you don't over spice it.
- Simmer for as little as 30 minutes or up to 2 hours stirring occasionally.
- Add more chili powder to taste.
- Serve with minced white onions and grated cheddar cheese.
