Easter Papoose Bread Recipe

  1. Combine water, 1 tsp.
  2. sugar, and yeast in a small bowl and let stand 5 min.
  3. In a large bowl, combine lowfat milk, salt, butter, Large eggs, and remaining 1/2 c. sugar.
  4. Add in about half the flour and beat till smooth.
  5. Stir in yeast mix.
  6. Slowly add in the remaining flour to create a stiff dough (add in more flour if needed), turn out on a floured board and knead till smooth.
  7. Place in a greased bowl, cover and let rise in a hot place till doubled.
