Beer Buttermilk Pancakes Recipe
- 3 x Large eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/3 c. beer
- 1/2 c. lowfat sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter
- 2 1/2 c. buttermilk pancake mix
- In a mixing bowl, beat Large eggs slightly, and stir in buttermilk, beer, lowfat sour cream, and melted butter.
- Add in pancake mix and mix till smooth.
- Spoon out into saucer size circles on a medium-warm ungreased griddle or possibly heavy frying pan.
- Bake till golden on both sides (turn when bubbles appear all over moist side).
- Serve warm with topping of your choice.
- Makes about 18 pancakes.
- NOTES : For years, Dad made pancakes and waffles from the recipes off the side of the Bisquick box.
- We all liked those just fine.
- But one day Mom remembered she had this recipe.
- She made it, and we've never gone back to the Bisquick recipes.
