Cabbage and Apple side Dish

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil, blanche the cabbage for 30-60 seconds, drain, rinse with cold water
  2. Heat oil and add onion, and cook until translucent.
  3. Add apples, cook for 1 minutes
  4. Add cabbage, water, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. The cabbage and apples should still have some crunch.
