Pecan Pie-Topped Brownies

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and ligthly grease a large baking tin, approximately 9 x 12 inches.
  2. Melt the butter or margarine over low heat in a small saucepan.
  3. Add the flour and stir until smooth.
  4. Add the vanilla, sugar and eggs and stir constantly for 5 or so minute.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in nuts.
  6. Set aside.
  7. Mix brownie ingredients together in a large bowl.
  8. Spread into baking pan.
  9. Spread topping over.
  10. Bake for 35-40 minute Be careful not to overbake.
  11. Cool and cut into bars.
