Croatian Torte Recipe
- 6 Large eggs, separated
- 6 tbsp. sugar
- 6 tbsp. flour
- 1 teaspoon baking pwdr
- Place egg whites in electric mixer, beat stiffly, then set aside.
- In another bowl, mix egg yolks and sugar, beat well with mixer till light and thick.
- Remove from mixer and add in flour and baking pwdr, mixing by hand and then add in egg whites and mix lightly.
- Pour contents into two prepared 9 inch layer pans, 1 1/2 inches deep.
- Bake 35 to 40 min in a 325 degree oven.
- Remove cake from pan while it is warm.
- Let it cold and then slice into layers.
