Bock BBQ Bean Salad
- 1/3 cup BBQ sauce, spicy works well if you've got the crowd that can handle it.
- 1/4 cup Bock beer such as shiner bock
- 1 tbsp molasses
- 1 tsp hot sauce if you like it really spicy
- 3 tbsp cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 can 13oz pinto beans, rinsed and drained
- 3 each plum tomatoes
- 4 each celery stalks, halved lengthwise and sliced
- 1/2 cup green onions chopped
- Combine barbecue sauce, beer, vinegar, molasses, 1 teaspoon of hot pepper sauce and mustard seeds in a large bowl.
- Add beans, tomatoes, celery and green onions toss to coat.
- Season with salt black pepper and additional hot pepper sauce if desired.
- Serve with lettuce lined bowls if desired.
