Buttermilk and Stawberry Sorbet

  1. To prepare sorbet, combine first 3 ingredients in a medium bowl, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  2. Pour mixture into the freezer can of an ice-cream freezer; freeze according to manufacturer's instructions.
  3. Spoon sorbet into a freezer-safe container; cover and freeze 1 hour or until firm.
  4. To prepare strawberries, combine strawberries and 1 tablespoon sugar; let stand 10 minutes.
  5. Spoon berries into serving bowls, and top with sorbet.
  6. Serve 3/4 cup sorbet with 3/4 cup strawberries.
