Quaker Homemade Oat Treats
- 3 cups oatmeal (large flake if possible, else quick)
- 34 cup sunflower seeds
- 14 cup sesame seeds
- 34 cup almonds, sliced
- 14 cup butter
- 13 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 13 cup honey
- 12 cup wheat germ
- 12 cup dried apricot
- 12 cup flaked coconut
- 1 cup golden raisin
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 12 cup dried cherries
- Preheat oven to 325.
- Toast the oats, seeds, and almonds.
- In a saute pan, gently heat the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and honey, stirring to incorporate the flavours.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients, mix well.
- Line baking sheet with parchment paper and spread mixture evenly.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
- While still warm, cut into squares.
- Cool & serve.
