Missouri Peach and Applesauce Salad

  1. In a saucepan, bring soda to a boil.
  2. Remove from the heat; stir in gelatin until dissolved.
  3. Add applesauce.
  4. Chill until mixture mounds slightly when dropped from a spoon.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whip cream with sugar, nutmeg and vanilla until stiff.
  6. Fold into gelatin mixture along with the peaches.
  7. Transfer to a 1-1/2 qt.
  8. glass bowl.
  9. Chill until firm.
