Linzer Jam Cookies
- 1 1/2 cup Flour
- 1 1/2 cup Sugar
- 1 1/2 cup Crushed Hazelnuts
- 2 stick Unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 tbsp Ground cloves
- 1 1/2 tbsp Cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tbsp Cacao
- 2 Eggs (reserve 1 egg yolk)
- 1 unit Jar of jam
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Mix all ingredients (except 1 egg yolk)
- Chill dough for 30 min
- Roll half dough to 1/8".
- Use circle cutters to cut.
- Cut small heart or star in half of cookies
- Place on parchment lined baking sheets
- Brush cookie tops with reserved egg yolk.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
- Bake for 12 minutes.
- Cool on rack.
- Spread jam on bottom cookie.
- Add top cookie.
