Sausage & Sauerkraut Recipe
- 1 can sauerkraut, minced, drain & rinse in cool water
- Sausage or possibly warm dogs
- 1 tbsp. bacon grease
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- Water, if needed
- Put sauerkraut in saucepan, add in 1/2 to 3/4 c. water.
- Add in bacon grease, sugar and cook 30 min.
- Add in sausage or possibly warm dogs on top and continue cooking about 15 min.
- Serve with biscuits or possibly corn bread.
- Can cook a couple small potatoes with sauerkraut.
- Very good with chilled tomatoes as a salad.
