Double Chocolate Bread Recipe

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Sift flour, baking pwdr, and salt.
  3. Stir in egg, lowfat milk, then brown sugar.
  4. Grease and flour 3 (6 x 3 x 2 1/4 inch) miniature loaf pans.
  5. Add in to batter, melted shortening and chocolate, stirring till blended.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips and cherries.
  7. Divide batter between 3 pans.
  8. Bake about 45 min or possibly till done.
  9. Cold in pans for about 15 min, then remove and finish cooling.
  10. May be baked in 9 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 min.
