Citrus Brown Sugar Ham

  1. 1.
  2. Trim ham to fit inside of your medium to large sized crockpot.
  3. If you have a huge crock pot you can probably skip this step.
  4. I had to trim about an inch off the bottom in order for it to fit.
  5. Place it skin side down in crockpot.
  6. 2.
  7. Add the juices, pouring them directly over the top of the ham.
  8. Squeeze the juice of the orange over ham, leaving the pulp if it lands on the ham.
  9. 3.
  10. In a small bowl, add brown sugar, honey and orange zest and mix together until it forms a paste.
  11. 4.
  12. Rub paste over the top and sides of ham to evenly cover.
  13. 5.
  14. Put lid on crockpot, I also had to put a couple bags of rice on top to weigh it down, with a towel underneath.
  15. 6.
  16. Cook on low for 7-8 hours, basting with juices every hour.
  17. 7.
  18. Once done, let it cool and then serve or place in the fridge until you are ready to serve.
  19. Enjoy!
