Hanamaru French Toast--Use Up All the Egg Mixture!
- 2 slice Sliced bread
- 70 ml Milk
- 4 tbsp Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 2 tbsp Butter
- Cut the bread so that all the pieces can fit in the frying pan at once.
- (Cutting at a slight angle improves the presentation.)
- Combine all of the ingredients, except for the bread and butter, then soak the pieces of bread.
- After soaking, transfer to a tray, pour on the leftover egg mixture, and set aside for 2-3 minutes.
- Heat the frying pan over medium heat, place the butter and bread in the pan, cook for 30 seconds, then agitate the pan to cook uniformly, and continue to fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Flip over the slices once they are golden brown.
- Cover with a lid and fry for 2-3 minutes over low heat.
- They're ready to serve!
- (The bread will be very soft, so handle with care!)
