Brown Sugar Meatloaf
- 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
- 1/2 cups Packed Brown Sugar
- 1/2 cups Ketchup
- 1 whole Egg
- 2 slices Bread
- 3 dashes Salt
- 3 dashes Pepper
- 3 dashes Sage
- 3 drops Ketchup, For Topping
- Mix brown sugar and ketchup to form a thick paste.
- Add brown sugar mixture to ground beef a little at a time until combined.
- You do not want it too moist.
- Add egg and crumbs from 2 bread slices.
- Mix until combined.
- Add the dashes of salt, pepper, and sage (optional).
- Form into a loaf.
- Add to your ovenware (I spray mine with non-stick spray first).
- Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
- Remove and top with ketchup (its also nice with a brown sugar/ketchup paste rather than just ketchup).
- Return to the oven for an additional 20 minutes.
- Serve with mashed potatoes.
- Also wonderful the next day for sandwiches.
