Brown Sugar Meatloaf

  1. Mix brown sugar and ketchup to form a thick paste.
  2. Add brown sugar mixture to ground beef a little at a time until combined.
  3. You do not want it too moist.
  4. Add egg and crumbs from 2 bread slices.
  5. Mix until combined.
  6. Add the dashes of salt, pepper, and sage (optional).
  7. Form into a loaf.
  8. Add to your ovenware (I spray mine with non-stick spray first).
  9. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
  10. Remove and top with ketchup (its also nice with a brown sugar/ketchup paste rather than just ketchup).
  11. Return to the oven for an additional 20 minutes.
  12. Serve with mashed potatoes.
  13. Also wonderful the next day for sandwiches.
