Port Clyde Chowder Recipe
- 1 c. diced onions
- 1/4 c. butter
- 4 c. diced potatoes
- 4 c. warm water
- 6 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1 to 2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 3 pound seafood (shrimp, clams, scallops, haddock)
- 3 c. dry lowfat milk pwdr
- 4 c. warm water
- 2 c. cream
- 1 1/2 c. instant potato flakes
- Saute/fry onion till tender in butter.
- Add in potatoes, 4 c. warm water, bouillon cubes, salt and pepper.
- Bring to boil and simmer 15 min.
- Add in seafood, simmer 10 min.
- Mix lowfat milk with 4 c. water and add in cream.
- Add in potato flakes.
- Serves 12.
