Corn Chowder With Ham

  1. Cut kernels off fresh corn; measure 2 cups corn.
  2. In a large saucepan, combine corn, broth, onion, potato, green pepper, marjoram, salt, and white pepper.
  3. Bring to a boil.
  4. Lower the heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes or until potato is almost tender, stirring occasionally.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together the milk and flour.
  6. Stir into corn mixture.
  7. Cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes or until thickened and bubbly.
  8. Stir in ham.
  9. Cook for 2 minutes more or until heated through.
