Corsican Mendiant Au Chocolat Blanc

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the chocolate in a double boiler filled with barely simmering water.
  3. Drop the chocolate onto the parchment in heaping teaspoonfuls, smoothing each drop into a 2-inch circle.
  4. Working quickly, sprinkle the walnuts, dates, and orange peel over the chocolate disks before they set up.
