Sugar Cookies With Frosting
- 3 12 cups flour
- 1 12 teaspoons baking powder
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 16 ounces powdered sugar
- 2 egg whites
- 12 teaspoon vanilla
- 14-12 teaspoon almond flavoring
- food coloring
- Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Beat the butter until fluffy.
- Add the sugar and beat until well incorporated.
- Add the eggs and vanilla and slowly add the flour mixture.
- Refrigerate at least 1 hour.
- Roll out the cookies on a well floured surface to your desired thickness and cut out with cookie cutters.
- Bake at 400 for 5-8 minutes.
- Cool and frost.
- For frosting, mix all ingredients, if too thick you may add a little water to thin out.
- Separate into bowls and add food coloring if you prefer.
- The frosting will harden so you can stack them later.
