Easy! Hard to Tear! How to Make Kinshi Tamago - Shredded Omelette
- 1 Egg
- 1/2 tsp Katakuriko
- 1/2 tsp Water
- 1 pinch Salt
- Dissolve the katakuriko in water.
- Add the egg and mix well, cutting through the egg white.
- Spread oil evenly in the frying pan.
- Set heat to low, and add the beaten egg.
- When the edges become cooked and papery, flip over with chopsticks.
- Cook the other side over low heat, or turn off the heat and let it cook under residual heat.
- Take out the omelet, and cut into thirds.
- Slice very thinly, and it's done.

- I used the kinshi tamago as a topping for cute diamond shaped soboro rice!
