Bean and Barley Soup With Kale

  1. Combine all ingredients except barley, kale, lemon juice, salt and pepper in a slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on high 4-5 hours, adding barley and kale during the last 30 minutes.
  3. Stir in lemon juice.
  4. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
