Lil Ozzys Gourmet Coleslaw
- 1 cabbage, coarsely grated
- 1 carrot, finely grated
- 1 sweet onion, minced
- 3 scallions, minced
- 1 dill pickle, minced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 18 cup pickle juice
- 18 cup cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
- 12 cup white sugar
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon celery seed
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- For the slaw.
- Combine the cabbage carrot, onions and dill pickle in a large bowl.
- For the dressing.
- Whisk together the mayo and buttermilk.
- USE ONLY MAYO.
- Don't use salad dressing or other substitute.
- Pulverize the garlic with 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
- Add the garlic and remaining ingredients and wisk until it's uniform.
- Pour over the cabbage mixture and incorporate.
- Let the mixture sit in the fridge overnight to allow time for the flavors to meld with each other.
