Trio-Chocolate Brownie
- 1-1/2 cups flour
- 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp. Magic Baking Powder
- 4 squares Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. chocolate syrup
- 4 each egg whites
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- Line 2 (8-inch) square pans with parchment paper (or line 1 8-inch square pan with parchment paper for trial recipe), with ends of paper extending over sides of pans.
- Spray paper lightly with cooking spray.
- Mix flour, cocoa powder and baking powder; set aside.
- Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on MEDIUM 1 to 2 min.
- (or 30 sec.
- to 1 min.
- for trial recipe) or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended.
- Add sugar, sour cream, chocolate syrup, egg whites and vanilla; mix well.
- Stir in flour mixture until well blended.
- Spoon evenly into prepared pans.
- Bake in 350 degrees F standard oven 15 to 20 min.
- or until toothpick inserted in centres comes out with fudgy crumbs.
- (Do not overbake.)
- Cool 10 min.
- Use parchment paper handles to transfer brownies from pans to wire racks.
- Cool completely.
