Salsa Sauce Recipe
- 16 c. tomatoes, peeled & mashed (I wash, core & put in blender, strain)
- 2 c. green pepper, cut fine
- 2 c. onions, minced
- 3-4 jalapeno peppers, cut fine
- 6-8 garlic cloves, cut fine
- 5 tbsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. pepper
- 4 tbsp. chili pwdr
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. vinegar
- Simmer all ingredient 30 to 40 min, then thicken with cornstarch (about 3/4 c. dissolved in a little cool water).
- Boil in warm water bath for 20 min.
- Makes 8 pints.
- If you do not have fresh jalapenos can use 3 to 4 Tbsp.
