Basic Gravy Or Sauce Recipe
- 3 tbsp. pan drippings or possibly fat (butter, oil or possibly butter)
- 3 tbsp. flour
- 2 c. liquid (chicken or possibly beef broth, lowfat milk or possibly water)
- Salt and pepper
- Remove meat or possibly poultry from pan and pour off all but 3 Tbsp.
- drippings.
- Blend in flour; stir to loosen brown particles.
- Cook to desired color.
- Add in liquid.
- Cook, stirring, till thickened.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Makes 2 c..
