Junior League - Barbecued Baby Back Pork Ribs
- salt and pepper (to season)
- 8 lbs baby back ribs
- barbecue sauce
- 34 cup cider vinegar
- 34 warm water
- 3 tablespoons dry mustard
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dark molasses
- 1 cup butter
- 12 cup ketchup
- 14 cup chili sauce
- 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons minced onions
- 1 garlic clove
- BBQ: Season both sides of ribs with salt and pepper.
- Arrange ribs on baking pan, baste both sides with BBQ sauce.
- Pour 1/2 cup of water in bottom of pan.
- Bake at 300 for 2 hours or until almost cooked, baste with sauce throughout.
- Grill over hot coals for 30 minutes or until done.
- Sauce: Combine vinegar and water with mustard, brown sugar, salt, pepper, paprika, and molasses.
- Let stand for 10 minutes.
- Combine the rest of the ingredients.
- Bring to a boil and let simmer on low for 30 minutes, stirring frequently.
